Very Happy Well just wanted to say "hi" to you all. I'm new to this site and I have just brought a new B King, although gotta wait till the 4th March to pick her up. Can't wait! Just sold my XJR1300 after 4 years and although sad to see her go, the B King is my dream machine and so excited!

so i'll be on this site reading all b king stuff etc!

Very Happy Cheers guys! i'm like a kid waiting for Xmas! Next thursday seems a life time away and i'm driving my missus mad!! cna you tell me what the pillion seat feels like? her being used to my XJR1300 with an armchair of a seat, she is a bit anxious at riding pillion on the b king. Anyway, roll on the 4th! probably soon be looking at xtras for the b king. im having a tailtidy and crash bobbins put on by my dealer first off. may leave the origonal pipes on for a while but some advice regarding small black screens and bellypans would be greatly appreciated. Also can anyone tell me the running in period for the b king and recv limit?
cheers guyz n girlz

Spiker,
Like you went from an XJR (had 3) to a busa (only for 6 months) then to the B-King which I've had for 2 yrs in June. To be honest it's the best decision i've made it's got the upright position of the XJR and the handling of the Busa for me this is absolute perfect.
The only down side of the bike was for the wife the rear seat did make her uncomfortable after an hour but we got round this by having the seat altered (there is a seat post). Two freinds have had there seats altered and there partners have said it's made a fantastic difference.
Last summer we went to the Pyranies with another B-King and completed 1800 miles in 2 weeks.
As for running in Terry who had his B-King before me just got on and road-it did'nt run it in at all, me I did the first 500 miles with only going up to 5000rpm. then for every 100 miles up 1000rpm so when i got to 1000 miles it could take it up to 10,000rpm and to be honest we have not found any difference in the bikes.

hope this helps

pop in some time and have a chat, got some mates normaly come round on a saturday to work on and talk bikes.(they ride lesser machines,i recon they come round to bask in the presence of my king).

This rate we will be able to get a Kent faction going where we can ride and intimidate lesser riders on inferior machines.... just for a laugh....

other factions welcome for more intimidation!!!

You wont regret it

they are superb... the longer you have it.. the more you love it..

and the package is so much fun from touring, town work, open road, chasing down sports bike and watching as they pull over to see whats been behind them for the last 20min on the twistys..

all to come...

if you dont want to get it wet leave it there till the next day.... wet new tyres on greasy roads are not the best..
