I've had a very positive reply from the Royal Oak following my initial enquiry. It's copied below for you all to see...

Hi there
Many thanks for your enquiry. We would love to host you for your "chillout" weekend...they are always a blast!
The menu is indeed fabulous and nobody goes hungry here.
We can also get some more real ales in if you guys are partial to a drop or two of that...just let us know what we can do to help make your weekend the best it can be.
We do have links with a local travel lodge and we have secured lower rates there so I will give you the code that people need to quote nearer the time to secure these deals.
How many of you will be here?
Keep in touch and we'll do our best to make your weekend fab!
Best wishes

I count 25 or so of us have said we're up for this. That includes those of you, like me, who've said their partner would come. I'm really looking forward to getting our Kings together. Please guys, contact any other King riders and let them know about our meet. The more the merrier!

Just need a date to look forward to..... with experience we will need a three - four month notice of a definate date as to ensure other events don't happen same time... to me friday eve all sat and until after lunch on sunday, well we have a pub might as well have a nice sunday lunch before the ride home...

friday night lots of booze and chat etc with a meal at the pub...

saturday breakfast and a ride out some where then lunch some where evening bring yer own barbie meats etc barbies supplied.. more booze and chat

sunday breakfast and more chat sunday lunch and end of weekend and ride home

sounds like a plan..

I can do anything after 28th march 2010 will bring my wife and my mate Taz as he has a B king ..

Hi Laceandwhiskey.
My preferred date is Fri 16 to Sun 18 April with camping at the Royal Oak (and Travel Lodge for the softies). Your suggestions for what we do are spot on by me. I look forward to seeing you.
