Looks like the dates are settled on Friday 16th to Sunday 18th April. camping at The Royal Oak, Blisworth or accommodation at the local Travel Lodge. I fancy a few beers and a meal at the pub Friday evening, runs out and about Saturday and Sunday morning (preferably with a visit to Santa Pod for the RWYB), barbie at the pub campsite Saturday evening - going home Sunday afternoon. What do you guys think, any suggestions?
I'll see what the pub can organise for a barbie, we may have to sort this ourselves. The pub would also like to know likely numbers, I count about 25 of us so far.

this is the place and date.. confirmed

Thanks for reposting confirmation of date place laceandwhisky. Dave and Angela at the Royal Oak are great people who look forward to seeing us all, and our money in their till! I'm excited as a puppy waiting to see all the other nutters who also ride the awesome B-king - bring it on!

I've been in touch with the Royal Oak at Blisden again:-

Hi David And Angelique,
Thanks for the response to my enquiry. At the moment our B-king riders group for this weekend numbers 25 to30, half of which wish to camp and half stay in the travel lodge.
I've three questions for you; what are the rates (approx') for the travel lodge, do you have barbeque facilities at the camp site, and probably half of us would like meals in your restaurant Friday and Saturday evenings - could you cater for us?
We are all looking forward to this weekend and I'll keep in touch.

Regards from 8" of snow, ptolemyx.

Hi there...Happy New Year!
Ok in response to your mail. The travel lodge telephone number is 01604 432800 and when booking rooms your members need to quote " OAK " in order to receive the discount. Am not exactly sure about their pricing structure but it was about £99 for a family room for 3 night which worked out at about £10 per person per night. Do check as they may well have changed their pricing structure in the new year and with the VAT rise again!
We do have a BBQ on site and allow disposable ones in but they must not be used on the grass. We would be very happy and able to cater for the rest of you in the pub with our fantastic menu.
Hope that is ok...I will pencil you in for that weekend...please confirm if you are definetly coming to us. Last thing...Do we need a vast supply if real ales?
Best wishes
Angelique

Of course I'll confirm that we're on for the weekend. Do we want them to get some beer in??? Is that a stupid question???

Hi forklift. The dates are set as Fri 16th to Sun 18th April, as previously posted.

Hi big mark. So long as we're not swamped by lesser mortals bring your mates. If anybody has strong feelings about how exclusive they want our event I'm sure they'll let you know.

Mine lets me think she lets me win. Has anyone else noticed all women are telepathic. I mean, there I am having a quiet letch at another woman in the supermarket and she hits me.

It is beyond my belief that anyone could ride a bike other than a BKing once they know that they have a associate with one. Evil or Very Mad

I suppose sometimes we need to remind ourselves of how superior we are. king Smile
