I'm just putting the finishing touches on my plan to head down to Tassie yet again but this time on the King and I can't wait to experience the great roads again. I've done Tassie before on an XJ650, Bandit 1200 and V Strom 1000 and now the King will no doubt get a "workout" on those lovely roads. I'm taking the King and the Strom over in the back of the ute so my cousin's husband (Tassie local) can join me on my Strom to help celebrate his 50th birthday by riding with me and his 2 brothers. He had road bikes way back when and is itching to get back in the saddle now the kids have left home and money is freed up again.
I'm planning to cover the whole island again but explore some back roads that some folk have put me onto that I haven't explored before so it should be fun. I've just bought a Ventura rack and bag which I'll fit to the bike and it will come back off when I get back as I want to keep the bike looking stock. I will post pics on how the rack and bag look and perform when I"ve fitted it.
