How can bike shops sell bikes with the aftermarket kit on?

I've heavily modified my bike on looks. Never had an issue with the Police.

Everyone does it.

Cop's everywhere on a North side ride today.

Only got as far as Ferny Grove and they were stopping bikes to ticket
them for "fender elliminators".

One of our group had his bike seized for 48 hours at Kilcoy and has
a court apperance next month. (He was a bit quick and had a history)

Saw a Silver BK at the back of Mt G,
coming from Splityard Creek way.

Fun ride. About 14 bikes, mostly Sports.
Damp roads and showers gave me a few slides.
284k's / 177 miles.

Saw marked car's, Unmarked cars, hand held roadside radars,
under cover VW golf. Wanted to take the Busa but had to use the BK as its the only 100% legal one.
Frightened to sneeze or scratch my arse in case I get a ticket.

What is actually wrong with a fender illiminator?

Those cops up in Brissy seem to be pretty mean.

Never had a problem in Melbourne, plus we can park our bikes anywhere.

HHHMMMInteresting read, its becoming a bit Anal all this stuff.

A bit scary if you play up to have your bike confiscated.

I'd never considered myself a habitual criminal but it would appear that is what I am by the filth's interpretation.

Going to known hot spots where the boys in blue hang out is NO way of avoiding fines,confiscations......the simple fact is that the police in Aus are a bunch of no good MOFOS who chase, fine and sometimes even kill motorists by their so called preventive measures for doing 6mph or 10 km for the rest of us,over the speed limit. If on the other hand a few of them got shot on the job like their counterparts in the US than Im pretty sure that the fender eliminator would be the least of their worries. Its just revenue raising and sticking it to the middle class, the stench of corruptness is so high that I reckon that every Police Commissioner in this country carries a bio mask/suit.

I agree.
Every ride is alway a thought and compromise.

Do I ride where my friends wish to ?
Do I take huge detours to avoid hot-spots to get to where I want ?
Do I not ride something that I admit i have made illegal with my mod's ?

Had recent checks in Rathdowny, Woodford and Ferny Grove,
its hard to avoid them all although I give Mt G a miss.

Must agree with Mr RoadRocket. The cop's seem to have a lot more interest in $$$
than they ever do in road safety and do them self's no favours what-so-ever.
To set up Police checks to hand out tickets for an 1" short rear guard or for the
"wrong shape" rego holder tell's you everything you need to know !

Absolutely disgraceful. I expected more from you Tony. You agree with this fuckwit from Kabul who believes that more police should be shot while doing their job.
I have mates who are on the job and regularly put themselves in danger and to suggest this is suitable for enforcing the law is just absolute stupidity. Most cops couldn't give a flying f*** about fender eliminators. You will find that this will be one or two cops from a specific traffic branch from the said area of Mt. G. I don't agree with what they were doing with fender eliminators as I have one myself. However if you are given your first court appearance for this offence (effectively four court appearances before bike can possibly be forefeited to the state) and you keep getting done then it's really your own fault. And how do preventative measures by cops such as speed enforcement cause people to die?
You will find roadrocket probably has a lengthy criminal and or traffic history which is why he sprouts this crap and he really is just a f****** peanut.

WOW !
I cant even imagine the Judicial system having that kind of law on the books and the power to enforce it
And I thought things were getting bad here in the states ???
WTF

I agreed to the fact that the local cop's are very ticket happy
on items such as rego holders, rear guards, aftermarket pipes,
Using time and resourses that have no effect on road safety
and that regular known "hot-spot's" can be avoided.

I know not ALL cops feel the same way. Im on another "riders"
forum with more than a couple of serving officers, but there's
still enough others out there to put my licence in danger,
hense im back to riding a stock legal bike.

My closest "mate" is a long term traffic cop. Fortunatly not in AU.
After 40 years in the UK and 6 recent return trips,
the UK cops dont seem so narrow minded or driven by the $.

12 posts and you already started insulting people !!!!!!
You sound like a very irate police man whos trying to put in good light the worst police branch in this country with:
corruption at galore stages
policeman(logan) posting on public forums that he likes little boys after a huge pedo case in his area
deadly chases
driving round shopping centre carparks taking reg numbers down and sending them fines at a later date just to hit the quota
indigenous people dying in custody.......... just to mention a few here in Queensland.....any of this familiar to you?????recall any of this??????Your friends tell you any of that?????????????

In your post it seems that you are trying to shift the blame on a couple of officers in butt fcuk nowhere reg the fender rules and on the same note you are saying that your friends are letting you break the "law" knowing that you have one of these highly toxic nuclear fender eliminators....................................rules for some and not for others maybe????????????

What I said or what Im trying to say is that IF they got shot while pulling people over for stupid things (and IM NOT SAYING ITS RIGHT )like it happens in the US,than it would at least make them think twice and ask that the rules to be changed ,made more realistic and maybe just maybe they can get to the job that me and the rest are paying them for and thats POLICING not traffic wardening.............
Your personal attack on me is like water on a ducks back and your assumption of my criminal/driving history just goes to show how you or your friends in blue think,to educate your arrogant assuming nature my criminal record is fine and if you need verification of that you can catch up with me at any time as im in Brisbane.Pm me if youre up for it!!!!
PS:dynamite/peanut it seems they are related....
stay upright!!!
