| Interesting reading. They did a good job on the king, sorry the Czar. Just wonder if you maybe spend a little bit more $ and install a Supercharger instead would you not get a rideable bike with a potential to get a lot more power almost everywhere. Maybe I`m wrong but since reading up on the Superchargers I think it will be about the same money, less work but more power. Still a very good option if for some reason a blower is not wanted. |

I know to several Turbo Busa's around Brissy, Not 1 has a legit mod plate and is 100% legal. Local lad had his B-King impounded last weekend for illegal mod's. (multiple tickets, anti hooning law)
Big bore would be a lot more sneaky. |

Who was that Tony? must've had some serious mods, or just the usual exhaust/mudguard stuff? |

| I know with a Supercharger you can even use the quiet stock mufflers plus most other bits and pieces stock standard and then you think it would be legal? The Kings rear guard is not the prettiest or lightest but since the cops seems to target bikes that modified this part I will keep it standard and hopefully keep my points and $. |

Yep - that's why I am very leery on replacing the stock rear end....if you get a shitty cop.... |

| I know Boris quite well.
The rationale for the bigger donk was more of the same type of power - smooth, linear.
The suspension upgrades would be great. |

Guy went to court yesterday. To Quote his post.....
"not good mate, not good! I had my court day yesterday and the f*cking judge decided that my bike will be forfeited to the crown under the Queensland’s Anti-Hoon Legislation laws section 52 I was surprised how many guys lost their bikes yesterday on stupid fender eliminator rules, all up they took 6 bikes of the streets"
and
"As a matter of fact the BK was purchased on a loan so I still owe ANZ 12k! Now no bike to show 4 and a huge debt Looks like I have to cop this on the chin and get on with it since it was my fault" |

| Must have had quite a few tickets before this incident. Normally they take the vehicle after 3rd offense or am I wrong? Will the crown auction the bike or how does it work? |

| I know he had enough warning but I still think its being a bit anal.......
Quote:
Long story short, I was done last year for a fender eliminator which was no big deal; $100.00 and one point about 2 months later (november) we intended to do the long ride which was spoiled by cops, anyway on that day I was done over Mt Mee for a fender eliminator again, however this time they also booked me for the loud exhausts which were 7DB over the limit so this time they attached a sticker which said vehicle not road-wordy (Defect), they removed my rego and number plate and the bike was impounded for 48 hours; the whole scenario ended up costing me $1200.00 So after I picked up my bike I had to fit the OEM parts back on get a RWC which Ozzy did for me and present the bike to Transport Dep to get my new rego. I then went home removed OEM parts and put the yoshi pipes and fender eliminator back on. 3 months later I was stopped again over Nebo as I made my way to meet the others for the Farmers Arms ride. After some checks I was issued with a court summons in which a judge will decide whats to become of my bike |

| If no rear guard and a loud exhaust is all thats required to lose your bike ............... going to be a lot of guys losing their bikes. In plain english ......... it's bullshit |

| Agreed, it is bullshit! That means every second bike might be fined and maybe confiscated eventually. Think it is a bit harsh since he did not expose anyone for any danger instead personally I think a louder exhaust can save lives. Might consider to change back to my stock muffler but that means another dyno tune and less power. In the end of the day it is all about money, with the sale of the bike and all the fines he got probably means around $15K for the government. If they continue with their money earning business there will not be many vehicles on the road, where will the milk money from then? Talking about milking money, if you have more than one bike/car why do we have to pay more than one rego (CTP) since you can only ride/drive one vehicle at the time? |

| Did the police have a legitimate reason for pulling him over (ie speeding or wheelies) or was it only because of the fender eliminator? _________________
