| would any of you mates be interested in a ram air system for your b king that doesnt require mods to your gas tank pods and the air will come in from the front under the headlight? price point will be 349.00 . im designing one now on a cnc machine and will be building soon. will be all billet alum. |

| Maybe. Like the idea but since I already cut up my airbox I might need to make it stock again plus not sure if it will give too much more power than my air box mod especially in lower speed. I`m saving for a SC at the moment so I cut down on other costs for the King since I`m sure that will keep me happy for some time. Would be nice to see the difference before/after on the dyno. |

| As I posted elsewhere, John's got a good name for his work with drag racing HD's. He's no fool. |

| ok no pictures yet, there in my imagination. if you have one picture this and tell me if that would work for you ok? move both the oil cooler and radiator down 1-2" leaving around 2" between the radiator and the frame. now imagine a square funnel with rounded corners 6"x2" extending downward slightly and basically straight toward the contours of the front of your front fender. the intake track only extending about 3-4 inches( have to check fork clearance ). on the backside inside the cradle of the frame have a split manifold like design that slides inside the stock rubber tubes or make them larger ( depends on air velocity and volume? ) there you have it. made from billet alum hopefully black when complete. this would force all air to be drawn through the out side of the bike. i think this design would be the most effective in function and cost and install time. still putting the plan together so let me know before i make one up if you have any idea's to add? cost im thinking should be about 349us hopefully if nothing special is needed in brackets\hoses.? |

Serious question, not trying to be smart arse.... Have you pulled off all the trim and the Rad and Oil cooler and seen whats involved in dropping them down an 1" or 2" ? I dont have an answer but have a feeling it might get fiddly remounting everything ?
If its practical to do, and benificial im sure many like myself would be keen.
Good luck ! |

| As mentioned elsewhere, I haven't bought my B-King yet. My new work situation means I have a realistic income for the first time in a number of years.
I will be purchasing a B-King in the very near future.
Funds are short at the moment due to the holiday season and lack of holiday pay. Only been there a month.
I'm thinking that a re-flashed factory ECU would be a better option with John's Big Mouth Intake and much cheaper than a PCV.
Thoughts? |

| As far as I understand none of the PC's can adjust both sets of injectors, it's only recently that I read about the engine having 2 sets of injectors, one set for low end and another set for top end. I have seen one member with 2 PC's plugged in but I don't think I would want to do that myself. A while ago I read that the ECU that Suzuki use in the B-King is state of the art and once hacket the adjustments with in the ECU are somewhat limitless in comparison to any of the plug and play systems. Suppose I should change my sig... Oh yeah, bring on the ram air _________________ |

| well im in the " agthering idea;s stage. so now i havent yet dropped the rad and oil cooler out yet to see what a pain it will be? i imagine this would have to be done if you changed exhaust systems anyway so will see? im hoping i can drop it down a little without lengthining wires or hoses. I also noticed there are several people getting rid of the oil cooler all together, i always wondered why have one? i dont ride in heavy stop and go trafic thats no fun.... |

| I was suprised that its quite normal to remove the oil-cooler on a Turbo Busa. Many seem to have it done. I know a few that get a very hard life and no one seem's to have a problem with it. Several around Brissy, a couple of them on this forum. |
