You would be suprised what these engines can take. I would be willing to bet a chain breaks before anything inside the engine. I had 7500 miles, and over 200 pass's on my Busa clutch and it was still mid stack height. I did have 3 HD springs in it though and the clutch mod, which makes launches easier but harder on clutches as they slip more.

LP how you like the bars?? More fun then no bars or just easier to ride?? What fuel did you run this time out as well??

The bars are completely take a bit to get use to, adjust and wonder if ya got it right. How far to let the bike stand up for better traction. I noticed the first 4 runs down the track were about 3 tenths slower. The bars add 18 lbs and traction was not aas good as I expected. I finally noticed that I could hamer the throttle pretty much full on right after relaseing the clutch once the trie was warm. That was strang and also if I released the clutch to agressive the wheelie bar would pulse flex and the traction would follow. After the end of the new day I had made many adjustments and the bike started to perfrom more constant.

The 51 tooth was perfect for it. 5th gear hits 10,000 just as I cross the line. I had to hit harder to pick up the 60 to drop ET though which is a shit ton of fun. My 60, 1.53.

Best run 9.85 @ 139. But I could get consistently into the 9s, 7 passes in a row I think until the temp went to 87 OAT and I don't know what the track went, no wind so it was hot. The bike than ran 10.01- 10.03. I have some vids I will get up and will post pics now.

Stock swing arm. With the 51 / 18 I bought a DRZ-2 130 length and cut to fit. Removed about 4 links. This is a no stretch chain and I am impressed. About 15% heavier in weight but tensile is 11,500.

Next drag I am going to is only bikes, it should be the best fun of all so far. I will have my new pipe on and am looking fwd to a bit better times.

Thanks

Going to pick up some gaskets for the new header pipe and will install this weekend.

Can't wait to see / hear the diff. Might as well change the oil as the cooler will have to be disconnected.
