Darnfarst, if you shift like me you start shifting at 7000 so you can finish by 9500!!!! affraid The young kids on the 600s could drink a six pack and order pizza during my shifts..........

always set you shift light a tad earlier to allow for hand eye reaction time.

I am running one of these shift lights:

Whats great about it is you can set when you want the first light to come on and where you want the last light to come on so you can target a RPM range and anticipate the shift.

I took a look at my dyno sheet and set my first light to come on at peak torque around 7500rpm and the all light flashing shift point at peak HP around 10500rpm.

my pro stkr has an air shifter spkrdctr so no foot movement required

and Im getting a quick shifter for the king , set it to only work above 4000rpm and all should be sweet for the road..

BKing, IDK your gearing. have you tried 10200 or maybe even a little lower and check your time?

I am down to 10000 now with my gearing ( last season)

I am running stock gearing.

I know that when I shift at 10500rpm I still have 2 lights lit so that tells me the revs are around 8000rpm which is above peak torque, I will try what you suggest next time out, thanks!

The bigger the motor, the shorter the shifts.
