hi all found this

bmw trying to pull the old one of the most powerfull production bike scenario.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-tAIKAu8j4

but i don`t know if this is rear wheel power or the engine bhp if its wheel i`m impressed

but reading the comments i think it might have afew things done to it and not a true standard bike.

but still impressed if its true it must be making about 220 at the crank thinking of power loss through transmission.

These bimmers appear to be making their claimed power based on initial reports. I would wait to see more customer bike figures before making judgement, but its promising for them.

There are a couple videos on youtube where a reportedly bone stock BMW besting a modied Busa and Modified GSXR1K by a couple lenghts in a street pull on the highway. Of couse its pitch black and you cant see anything, but time will tell.

I hope so. It takes making a leap forward to push others to higher performance. Good on BMW if they did actually pull this off.

And unlike Aprilia, managed to not recall every bike in the US for potentially throwing a rod ala RSV4.

I went to the BMW dealer today and sat on one, way to much weight on your wrist, the bike can have all the power it wants but if you cant ride the damn thing more then a hour I could care less, they can have it.

One purpose bike-RR- track bike

Just like all the opther sportbikes, us old guys just wont be able to hammer them out.

But of course they are purpose specific, so confort is not part of the equation and expecting anything other then a dedicated track based torture rack is unrealistic. Not sure why anyone would even look at a BMW other then to stroke their own ego.
