chec light comes on,and will not let you start bike, engine stop switch,is in the right positon,out of gear, and side is fully up,fuse is ok,you can switch the ignition on and off a few times,and will start as normal, then back to chec light comes back on.and it won't start ,anyone got any idea's its starting to piss me off now, cheers mal

Mal

Look at page 72 of the service manual…..

Possible cause …….

Clutch position switch
Side stand switch or relay
Engine stop switch

Remember just because the side stand is down or the clutch is pulled in it doesn’t mean the wiring is not damaged or that the switch is working correctly. With your fault I would look at the clutch switch first.

Mal I had the same Problem it was the switch on side stand, I gave it a blast of WD 40 and its been fine ever since.

We used to get this crap all the time on the Aprilia Falcos so we took the switch off & hot wired the lead.
