| After 6000klms I`m up for a new set of tyres. The problem is the front one is shot and the rear has around 1-2K left. I`ve been riding for 40yrs and have never experienced this before. Any ideas as to why? |

Discribe "shot" ?
Worn in centre ? Worn at edge's ? Worn down or chewed up ? What presures you running at ? Highway cruising or hanging off in the mountain twistys ? On your own or pillion ? Smooth or agressive riding ?
Not being funny Mate, it all makes a difference.
Im happy getting 6,000k's out of Busa or B-King tyres. |

| I had this on a front on my ZX12r. wore either side of the center. No worthwhile explanation. Just put it down to a duff tyre. |

| I didn`t think I`d get 6000ks either,I`m happy with that. I`m just curious because I`ve never worn a front out before a rear. My riding style hasn`t changed. The tyre is worn on the edge's. I'm running recommended pressures 36 and 42psi. Mainly mountain twistys-solo. I've done a few superbike schools and was told I was a smooth rider. Until then I didn't have a clue as to what style of rider I was. Suspension settings are as they come from factory. Bike is stock. My weight is 70klg geared up. |

| My front and rear wore damn near identically... which surprised me... I'm used to getting 2 rears to 1 front. |

| 1,800 miles, and my rear is starting to square off a bit. Front holding up well. I'll probably replace them both once the rear is ready. |

| My front wore kinda oddly. Seems to have worn out more on the edges and left more in the middle. Not unlike a dual compound tire. |

| It's a heavy bike which likes to push the front in a turn so a front tire will wear quickly. |

| Check Race Tech for suspension. I have used them before and have always been VERY happy with them. As for price, I think they are reasonable considering how much any suspension parts cost.
36 psi in the front is the RECOMMENDED pressure. If your wearing at the sides, it has too little psi. Try raising it 1-2 psi. Like others have said, its a heavy heavy bike. With geometry and style of bike it is, its going to put a lot of different forces on the front compared to other styles of bikes even weighing the same as the King.
But the stock Q's are crap. Aftermarket Q's and others are much better at wear rates. |

| My front is wearing fast on the sides as well. Stock air pressures. I think its because this bike weighs so much. Will most likely change both tires at the same time. I'd rather have tire wear over tire slip any day. |
