hi thought id give the bike a bit more throttle as im running it in in 5th and 6th if i open the throttle wide open the bike is hesatating around the 7 thou mark and not reving up the range well , if i back it off a bit zoom shes off , could this be to the timing retard in 5th and 6th?

Nope, there is something wrong with your bike. It is not normal. The BKing runs butter smooth and has no hesitations in it. Time for a dealer visit........

thanks took it out for a good run earlyer and its happiening in all gears just about 3mm of twist back off full throttle and she flys bloody annoying almost like to much air not enough fuel back to the dealer i go

A brand new 09'demo bike i test rode with 90 miles did the exact same thing regardless of the gear.....i suspect its a built in warning system to try and keep it below 7k until it gets to the first service...but i'm just guessing....my 08' model at 4000miles is flawless.

no that doesn't sound right. either the fuel pump is not putting out enough pressure at the higher RPMs when the engine needs max fuel, or the exhaust valve is either not opening quick enough, or is not adjusted right so the valve is not going to full open, causing too much back pressure and bogging the engine.

Go vheck your fuel pump.
Same problem i had on my Z750.

Mine did the same thing, after a couple tanks of gas and a few hundred miles the issue went away.

Is your BK totally stock? If not, what mods have you done?
