PostSubject: US Southeast - Track Day Instruction at Roebling Road Track in Savannah Ga   February 9th 2010, 17:51

Anyone interested in doing a Track Day School at Roebling Road Race Track In Savannah Ga? Thursday March 18, 2010.
First off (disclaimer) I am not affiliated with Roebling Road Track or with Frank Kinsey Racing School in any way.
I have talked with Frank Kinsey at Kinsey Racing School and he has offered to add a Track School to his calendar on Thursday March 18th. He charges $3000 for the day and there is a limit of only 10 students. So, the cost is $300 each for the entire day. This is only for the Racing School. Your meals and lodging are extra.
This will be a private session and we will not have to share the track with anyone. ( Not your typical 20 minutes on/ 20 minutes off etc.) We will have the track to ourselves for the entire day plus we will have his instruction all day too.

Here are the requirements for bike, riding gear etc. It looks like he doesn't require as much prep work to your bike as some of the other tracks. (Lights, Anti-freeze etc.)

I've been looking for a track to take some riding instruction on and decided to give this a try. I talked with some folks that do stuff at Jennings, Fl and have also looked at Barber in Birmingham. My wife has an FZ6 and I will be attending on the Bking if there is enough interest.
I need to know something for certain by Feb 26th. If you commit to this you will need to pay in advance. (In other words, don't back out at the last minute and leave the other people responsible for the difference) If you pay in advance and the class is cancelled then you'll get your money back.
If there is not enough interest in this then wifey and I will be attending the class on Saturday March 20th.

I can't believe no one responded with any interest to this!!!!

Just completed the track school at Roebling Road with wifey on Saturday the 20th. WOW, it was the best $250 I've spent in a while. It was no doubt worth the money. Wifey got the most from it. She got here knees down and scraped her pegs during the last session. I saw the difference in her skills from the first session to the last. Unbelievable how much she improved. Dave Despain from Speed Channel was one of the instructors. Man, can he ride. Got to spend about 45 minutes with his personal instruction and wifey got about an hour and a half of his time while on the track and during the off sessions. Well worth it.

If you ever get a chance you need to do a track day - somewhere.

She liked it so much - Next trip will be a weekend at Jennings GP in May. Very Happy
